U.S. routs Spain, stays unbeaten in Beijing
Four down, four to go. The U.S. men’s Olympic team is halfway back to the top of the basketball world. And not even the world champions - on paper anyway - could give the Americans a game. Unleashing a lethal 3-point barrage for the first time in Beijing, the Americans turned the marquee matchup of the preliminary round into another romp, beating Spain 119-82 Saturday night to clinch the top seed in their group.NBA/~4/366680746″ height=”1″ width=”1″/>
Gordon: I’ve played my last game with the Bulls
Ben Gordon and the Chicago Bulls took a turn toward closure Friday night when the free-agent guard said he doesn’t think he’ll be a Bull next season.
Bulls Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
Just when it appeared Luol Deng was ready to play out the coming season and become an unrestricted free agent in 2009, the Bulls finally came to terms with their 6-foot-8 forward on a six-year, $71-million contract.

Deng’s Bulls contract may prevent play for GB (AP)
Luol Deng could be forced to miss Great Britain’s qualifying campaign for the 2009 European Championship because the team can’t find an insurer to cover the forward’s lucrative new six-year contract with the Chicago Bulls. The national team is exploring solutions to the problem with the NBA and the Bulls, who gave Deng a new deal last month reportedly worth up to $80 million.
Hornets’ Pargo signs with Moscow Dynamo
New Orleans Hornets guard Jannero Pargo is the latest player to turn his back on the NBA for Europe. Pargo signed a one-year deal with Dynamo Moscow of the Russian League, agent Mark Bartelstein told The Associated Press in a phone interview Friday. The one-year deal is worth nearly $4 million and is about twice what Pargo made for the Hornets last season, Bartelstein said.
